How Much Hair Do I Need To Purchase?

A traditional or versatile sew-in with minimal leave out with Virgin Indian Human hair would require approximately 8 to 10 ounces of hair. We recommend purchasing 2 bundles of hair extensions for lengths 12” to 18”. However for lengths 20” or longer, we suggest 3 bundles of hair extensions. A Full Closure/Frontal sew in or wig unit would approximately need 2-3 bundles. Each bundles weighs approximately 100g (3.5oz). The longer bundles have a shorter weft/track as the shorter bundles have longer wefts/tracks.

Can This Hair Be Colored?

This is 100% virgin Indian human hair that has not been processed in any form. You can color the hair at your own risk, however once virgin hair is manipulated in any way, it is no longer virgin. Any chemical processes should be done by a professional or at least consulted by one Once the hair is chemically altered improperly, the cuticle can become damaged and over processed causing fraying, breakage, dryness, and tangling. This in turn will affect the overall look and feel of your hair. Be sure to keep color treated hair conditioned and moisturized.

How Long Does This Hair Last?

This hair can last for a long time with proper care. Keep in mind that this pure virgin human hair and you must treat it as your own. The better you take care of the hair extensions, the longer you can have it and reuse it. Our clients typically use their hair extensions for 6 to 12 months.

How Long Do Frontal/Closure Last?

Frontals/Closures can last up to 6 months with proper care. Frontals/Closures must be treated delicately. Unlike wefted track hair, the hair in the lace is weaved through. Gently detangle hair by starting from the bottom working your way to the top. To increase longevity, wrap hair daily.

What Is The Difference Between Frontals and Closures?

The size is the most obvious difference between lace frontals and lace closures . Closures are smaller (horseshoe size) because their main purpose is to close off an install hence the name closure. Frontals are larger because they run temple to temple to cover the entire hairline.

The main reason for choosing a lace frontal is its versatility. Wearing a frontal gives you the option to achieve multiple styles that a closure doesn’t; You are allowed to wear your hair pulled back with lace frontals. Keep in mind,  closures only cover a small portion of the front of the install making it unachievable to pull back the sides without exposing your tracks.

A frontal will be best for you if you would like to pull your hair back. However, if you want to close your install with a natural looking part, then a lace closure will be the best decision for you. Both frontals and closures will enhance your install by giving it the natural look that you desire!

Should I Co-Wash My Extensions?

Co-washing simply means conditioner washing. It is a key task in extending the life of your extensions and keeping them healthy. We recommend a co-wash once a week with moisturizing conditioner to ensure your hair gets the nutrients and moisture it needs. When you first receive your extensions it is important to co-wash the hair as it has been through manufacturers’ hands, packaging, etc. Shampooing the hair can strip the hair entirely too much. Always use WARM water, as hot water will overexpose the cuticle of the hair.
